Ingredients for the Sweet Bread Recipe
When preparing this sweet bread, you’re going to need the following ingredients:
Butter – Let your butter sit at room temperature before you use it in this recipe.
Sugar – A cup of sugar will give your baked bread a sweet taste.
Pineapple Juice – Bring the sweet taste of pineapple to this bread with pineapple juice.
Vanilla – A bit of vanilla extract takes the flavor to the next level.
Flour – Of course, you’ll need some flour to prepare the batter for this bread.
Crushed Pineapple – Grab a can of any brand of crushed pineapple.
Chopped Pineapple – Use some fresh chopped pineapple in this bread, too.
Other ingredients needed include shortening, two eggs, a yolk, pineapple flavor, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. When you’re preparing this bread, you’re also going to need powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
TO MAKE THE BREAD BATTER
start by adding the sugar, butter and shortening to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.
Beat together on high speed for 2 minutes or until fluffy and lighter in color.
Next, add in the eggs and beat together for 30 seconds.
Add in the pineapple juice, vanilla and pineapple flavor.
Mix together until combined.
Add in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix just until combined.
Fold in the crushed pineapple with the juice and the chopped pineapple.
THE BATTER WILL BE SOMEWHAT RUNNY AT THIS POINT.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Place the pan into the oven to bake for 1 ½ hours or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean or with slightly moist crumbs.
Once baked, remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack to cool for at least 20 minutes.
